Nimbus Cloud came to ByteForge with a five-year-old jQuery dashboard that took over six seconds to become interactive on mid-range laptops, and their signup conversion had plateaued for two straight quarters. Over an eight-week engagement we rebuilt the front end in React and TypeScript, restructured the data layer to cut redundant API calls by 70%, and redesigned the onboarding flow around a single clear call to action per screen.

I'm Alex Reyes, founder and lead developer at ByteForge. I started out fixing WordPress themes for local businesses in 2019 and spent the next five years working my way through freelance contracts, an in-house product team, and a senior engineering role before going independent again in 2024 — this time by choice, running ByteForge as a focused, one-developer studio that partners with a small bench of designers and QA specialists per project.
